cadet pilot to-be.

As many of you would have known, i went for my briefing on the 6th of October, which was a monday. i got to know my Batch-mates then. Nice decent guys. Surprisingly our batch is quite multi-racial compared to the other MAS cadet batches. Approximately 3 Indian guys, 5 chinese guys and 8 Malay guys. not too bad right?

Anyways, these few days were a little hectic as we had to get tons of paper work done. Paper work as in signing stuff and looking for people to sign for us. The terms and conditions it seems.

Basically being a MAS Cadet, we get something like an initial loan from Malaysia Airlines. They will be paying for our course and accommodations first. We will be assured a job in Malaysia Airlines if we pass with flying colors and when we do, we will have a repayment scheme for the interest-free loan we "took" from MAS, within 15years of bond.

yeah, that's what happens. Not something like a scholarship or anything. but its worth it. being bonded isn't a bad thing because MAS will be training us up when we are bonded, and hopefully train us up faster than other private students who start working with Malaysian Airlines System.

Ultimately, it will be a 15 years bond. enough years of bond to be able to reach captain of the Boeing 737-400 aircraft. :)

it has already begun. We (the cadets) already collected our accessories and took measurements for our uniforms. the MAS uniforms that is.
